This was a good team meeting. We were able to hammer out what each of our roles would be for the coming year and I'm excited about what I will be able to learn. I will be working on cataloging and ebook acquisition. My manager even said that there is a possibility that I could write a paper on the topic of ebooks since this will be a new experience for our library.

We will also be having one-on-one meetings once a month or so with the manager. I had mine with the help of my past manager--so I could get proper feedback. It was all good news, thankfully. It turns out that I have been doing a good job and they want me to do some more tasks that will qualify me for the senior library assistant post. I will still have to apply for it, but at least I will have a fighting chance. I will need to bring up my knowledge on cataloging. Currently I have only read a text book so will need lots of help and support.
